The best complements for road signs are available at T2S Ibérica
In the section of complements for road signs, you will find all kinds of safety elements. This category includes two products from the German company ORAFOL, of which T2S is the only official distributor in Spain.
Within the signalling complements, signalling inks are included. In T2S Ibérica we have several models of signalling inks, a two-component product, based on solvents, which hardens quickly and once dried has a glossy surface to withstand the weather.
ORATAPE MT95 conveyor belts, made of polyethylene, are also available and are ideal for marking various road signs.
Both the conveyor belts and the marking inks have the best quality guarantee.
Supplements for road markings: ORALITE 5018 inks
ORALITE 5018 screen printing ink is a two-component, solvent-based system that hardens quickly and, once hardened, has a glossy surface that is highly resistant to weathering. It is available in various sizes from 800 to 4000 ml. Available in seven different colours: yellow, red, orange, blue, green, brown, grey, and black.
How are ORALITE 5018 inks applied?
Before printing, it is necessary to stir the ink manually or thanks to an electric stirrer. After stirring and allowing to stand for about 10 minutes for the fumes to evaporate, the screen printing ink is ready for use.
When reopening a previously used bottle, it may be necessary to dilute the product. Remember that multi-colour printing should be done with overlapping.
For storage, the ink containers should be stored in a closed, dry place at a temperature between 15 and 40 °C. During transport, the temperature should not fall below 5 °C for more than 24 hours.
The screen and squeegees, the dip coating and the foil must be cleaned with a suitable product. Each sheet of film should be cleaned with a dust cloth.
The curing process starts right after printing with the evaporation of the solvents. The time needed to achieve full curing depends largely on the environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity and air circulation.
When using a drying rack, it is especially necessary to have good air circulation during the first 30 minutes. The drying time is 48 hours and after approximately 8 days the product is completely hardened. Once fully hardened, the print is highly resistant to weathering, chemicals and mechanical stress. It is not necessary to apply a clear varnish.
If the recommended screens and application instructions are used, colour prints on white ORALITE® reflective films are guaranteed to comply with international daylight colour specifications. Prints on specific white screen printing products also comply with the photometric specifications for the printed colour.
The expiry date of the closed containers is 2 years. It is recommended to always store the containers hermetically sealed after use and to finish them within 3 months.
Complements for road markings: ORATAPE MT95 conveyor
A transparent, polyethylene-based mounting film with a finely structured surface for the transfer of computer-controlled transfer of printed or cut lettering and symbols. It comes in 50 mm or 100 mm reels and in widths of 500 mm, 610 mm, 100 mm and 120 mm.
It is composed of a modified polyacrylate with medium adhesive strength. Its finely structured surface gives it a high elongation resistance. The peelable polyacrylate adhesive part is suitable for the transfer of almost all known film types (matt or glossy).
Application instructions for the ORATAPE MT95 conveyor belt
The substrates to be bonded must have adequate strength and solidity, as the strength of a bonded joint will only be as good as the internal stability of the surfaces to be bonded. It is necessary to remove loose particles and to treat porous surfaces or fibrous materials with a suitable primer. As a general rule, good results are usually achieved on bases with a smooth finish. For rough or uneven substrates, thicker adhesive levelling tapes should be used.
It should be noted that it can take up to 72 hours to achieve the final adhesive strength, depending on the glue used. Harder adhesives usually require higher contact pressure and more time to achieve final adhesive strength than softer adhesives.
These adhesive tapes should be stored in their original packaging at an ambient temperature of 20° and a relative humidity of 50%.
The special polyacrylate bonding adhesive allows for a problem-free transfer of computer-controlled transfer of printed or computer-cut lettering and symbols. Even 6 months after bonding, a residue-free release is achieved without a significant increase in adhesive strength. The high elongation resistance of the film material guarantees exact positioning.
